Last time, I posted I was working on reading The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. I am still reading it, but making a lot more progress now that school is done.
The best part about sumnmer so far is how many books I’ve “read” so far. I am lucky to have gotten a job this summer even though I’ll only be working for 2 months or so. Unfortunately, it’s excessively boring. I have very little human interaction because my cubicle is far away from any office, and basically, my job is really simple and not very challenging. The good news about this is that I have 8 hours a day to listen to audio books!!! Yay!!! I’m slowly making my way through a list of books I really want to read.
Here’s what I’ve “read” so far:
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson
I’m literally 6 tracks away from finishing this book! Too bad the ending is partly ruined for me because my parents insisted on listening to it in car on the way to the cabin. Oh, well.
My List for the Rest of the Summer:
The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest by Stieg Larsson
I won’t be able to listen to this one anytime soon. My parents have decided that we will listen to it during long family car rides. yay…
Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers by Louise Rennison
I read this series in High School, so it’ll be a little nostalgic for me to read this, again. I would also recommend this series to basically any teenage girl.
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
Hot, Flat, and Crowded by Thomas Friedman
I’ve read enough excerpts from this book in school to finally read the entire thing.
The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien
That’s all I have so far, but I’ll probably add more later just because you go through audio books very quickly when you listen to them for 8 hours every day.
Good luck in all your reading adventures!!
