Every avid reader, even occasional readers, have The List. It looms over us all. Every time we enter a book store or a library, a friend or stranger recommends a book, our book club recommends one, or we see a book anywhere; we are reminded of our List. What is this List?
The possibly very long or even short list of books we want to read that have been recommended to us or have just sparked our interest. So often we find we can never accomplish reading our List. The problem is the List keeps growing.
What is The List Book Club About? It is supposed to help people to accomplish some of the reading on their List. You don't have to read a required book; you read the book that's next on your List. By posting a little or possibly long blurb here about the book you will be reading next or have just finished, you are making a commitment to others that you will finish that book. The List Book Club's hope is to make you accountable to someone else, even if they possibly are a stranger, so you have to read that book and make your way through your List. How Do I Contribute?

What Do I Contribute? If you haven't started your book, yet, then just leave a little post stating which book, its author, and why you wanted to read the book. If you've finished a book from your list, post another entry. This time, sum it up. Comment on the book if you want. Then tell the world what book is next on your list along with its author and the reason why it's on your List. Comment on others posts. Don't be mean. Encourage them in their reading. The point is so help others get through their lists and expand your list as well while readings about books other people have on their list. If you need an example a post, check out my first one. It's rough, but not disgusting. If you would like to join this blog and become a permanent member, send me your email address at thelistbookclub@gmail.com, and I will invite you.
