  • A Long Book and an Even Longer List

What I’m Currently Reading: The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray

    Shop Indie Bookstores

I feel as if this book will never end. I received this book as a present two years ago. I started reading it last year and 600 pages later… I am still reading it. I only have about 200 and some pages left, but it’s a little overwhelming. I feel like it keeps going… forever.
I’m not saying that the book is horrible and languorous. It just feels that way because I have been working on it for so long. I just need a little encouragement and a comfy chair.

Extra Time = More Time to Read

I am currently on winter break. Normally, I would be busy working, but the local bookstore that I work at closed its doors yesterday for the last time. I needed something to fill all that time.
My solution: Make a very long List and a very close due date.
I have to read the following books before I head back to college, which is sixteen days away…
It will take quite a bit of effort and focus, but I have faith and a lot of extra time.
For all those who think I should also be searching for a job, don’t worry. I am going to apply at the next nearest independent bookstore.

    My List:

~[Finish] The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray
I need to do it! I will not let myself start anything else until this is done!
~[Finish] In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan
I lent this to my mom and was never able to finish it.
    ~The Magicians
    by Lev Grossman
I read about twenty ages of this and am loving it. It’s a struggle to not read this right now.
~[Reread] Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix by J.K. Rowling
I have read books 1-4 ten times each, but the last three… not so much.
~[Reread] Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling
I knew I should reread the books when my friends complained about how the latest movie had been so different from the book and I had not even noticed.
~[Reread] Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
I should probably reread this before the next movie.
~The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling
Yet again another gift to myself that has been sitting on a shelf for far too long.

    Wish me luck!
    Happy New Year!
Keep reading and working on your List!!
