  • I finished Loving Frank…

Why I read it: I decided to read this because besides knowing he designed houses and attended UW-Madison, I didn’t know much else about Frank Lloyd Wright. This book is about an affair between Frank and another woman named Mamah. Wright is not someone I would have pegged to have had an affair, so I decided I must see what was behind the story.

What I thought: I was very intrigued by the storyline before I started the book, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. The story was a bit slow moving at some points, but I did enjoy the way the romance between Frank and Mamah evolved. Their romance seemed natural, and I was definitely rooting for them. I recommend this to anyone who loves a good romance, and would like to learn a little bit more about Frank Lloyd Wright and his past.

What’s next on my list: I Don’t Care about Your Band: Lessons learned from Romantic Disappointments by Julie Klausner

Why I Want to Read It: Kat loaned it to me, and I’m in the mood for a silly book. The author has written for Saturday Night Live’s “TV Funhouse”, and because of that, I know this book will be hilarious. Plus, Julie Klausner is a redhead, and redheads rock.
